KEYENCE's Commitment to the WEEE Directive for the Netherlands

The Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE – 2002/96/EC) became effective throughout Europe on August 13, 2005. Its purpose is the prevention of waste electrical and electronic equipment, and the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery. Hereinafter, Keyence declares its recycling scheme based on the WEEE directive.

For more detailed information about the WEEE directive, please refer to the link below:
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (European Commission)

Within this directive, Keyence products are categorized as B2B products and are marked according to the WEEE directive. The crossed out wheel symbol appears on all products which need to be recycled.

If the crossed out wheel symbol appears on the product you purchased from us, please take note of the following and dispose it as mentioned below:

Any new increase in operating costs for manufacturers is normally reflected in a price increase in the product.
However, KEYENCE has decided not to increase the prices of our products.

KEYENCE has set up a recycling contract with the European Advanced Recycling Network (EARN) and will cover all costs of treatment, recycling and recovery of the equipment on its arrival at the EARN's partner facilities. And also KEYENCE pays for the cost of transportation of your WEEE to EARN's partner facilities.

Please click on the link below and complete the Form when you dispose of your WEEE that you purchased from us. EARN will contact you to arrange collection.
