          Vision Sensor

          IV series

          Transport Industry

Unbeatable Performance in Automation and Sensing Applications.

          O-ring presence and part judgement

The IV Series is as small as a match box, which makes it possible to install the IV Series in existing systems even in narrow spaces, which have conventionally been a hindrance to sensor installation.
Also, thanks to our newly developed wide lens, it is possible to perform wide-angle detections even when the sensor is installed at a short distance from the workpiece.

Shape judgement function discerns between the front and back of workpieces

The IV Series is as small as a match box, which makes it possible to install the IV Series in existing systems even in narrow spaces, which have conventionally been a hindrance to sensor installation.
Also, you can change the cable direction freely within the angle of 330º.
Together with the smallest head size in its class, this ensures a high degree of freedom when it comes to installations.

          Spring presence detection

Detects missed spring insertions during the assembly process
The IV Series can detect up to 16 locations at the same time, which makes it possible to perform detections of spring presence and rubber packing direction with a single sensor.
          This enables overall assembly confirmations.

          Button assembly defect detection

Uses colour areas to detect missing buttons and incorrect parts
The IV Series is standard-equipped with a position adjustment function, so even if workpieces are misaligned during conveyance, it is possible to perform stable detections by searching for the detection target on the screen.

Vehicle model detection by way of engraving differences

Detects different vehicle models by way of engravings
The IV Series can even perform stable detections of engraved metal surfaces, which are very difficult to detect due to their non-uniform reflection.
Thanks to KEYENCE's patent-pending HS-HDR function, it is now possible to cancel uneven reflected light even with moving workpieces.

          Seal front/back detection

Detects the front or back of seals
By using our newly developed shape tool to perform detections of the differences between the grooves of workpieces, it is possible to perform stable detections even under conditions in which there are no differences in colour or reflected light intensity between workpieces.
This eliminates the need to perform fine tuning after installing the sensor.

          Instrument panel clip presence detection

Detects the presence of instrument panel clips with a single sensor
The IV Series can detect up to 16 points at the same time over a wide area of 550×412 mm, so it is possible to use a single sensor to perform the same detections that were conventionally performed with multiple sensors.

          Headlight lighting confirmation

Performs headlight lighting confirmation with the colour area function
The newly developed wide lens of the IV Series enables detections with a wide field of view even when the sensor is installed at a short distance from the workpiece.
Also, because the head is as small as a match box, it is possible to fit the head inside of inspection tools.
