  • What is a metallographic microscope?

A metallographic microscope is used to analyze the microstructure of metals and alloys. We can quickly and easily detect microcracks, calculate the phase fraction, examine metal surfaces for contaminants, porosity, defects, corrosion, and assess whether the material has been heat treated.

  • Why use a digital metallographic microscope?

It provides more information and is easier to use than conventional imaging and measurement systems, enabling users to make better decisions in less time.

  • Porosity measurements

    Fractured Implant Screw, 50× Magnification

In an easy operation, porosity measurements and counting can be carried out within a specified range on the sample. Areas that are not required can be excluded, and overlapping segments can be separated. Even when performed by first-time users, the operation will still yield highly accurate analysis results.

  • Grain Size Analysis

    Aluminium Surface, 2500× Magnification

The measurement results can be easily saved as a picture or report. It is also possible to create measurement templates, which will not only save time, but also create reproducibility.

  • Surface Analysis

    Plated Metal 300× Magnification

With the multi-lighting function, omnidirectional lighting data is captured automatically at the click of a button. A suitable image for observation can then be selected from this data. This eliminates the need to repeatedly adjust the lighting settings in order to obtain a clear image.

  • Depth of field, 20 times greater than optical microscopes

  • Easy color-based image interpretation

  • 2D/3D measurements

  • 2D measurements directly on the screen
