Pneumatic Cylinder Sensor with Visible Indication and Easy Installation Linear Cylinder Sensor CS-L

Wide-Range Piston Position Detection

The inline sensing element detects the internal piston magnet to determine its position with 0.1 mm resolution. Meanwhile, a proprietary algorithm calculates the impact level during operation. This cylinder information is integrated with other equipment to help reduce cycle times and minimise downtime.

2-Point Teach Set Point

Unlike traditional cylinder sensors, no tedious alignment adjustments are required to ensure an output from the cylinder. Simply press the button to create a set point at the desired location of the stroke.

Identify Sensor Status at a Glance

The sensor’s bar LED display provides instant visibility into the status of the cylinder sensor. In the event of an issue, it helps identify the likely cause, reducing the downtime required for recovery.

Indicates Cylinder Performance

Cylinder sensors can output the position information of the piston and the impact level, providing benefits in a wide variety of situations such as the calculation of cylinder stroke time and the early detection of device problems.

Only the PNP M8 connector type can be used.

Open, Gripped, Closed All-in-One Sensor Linear Cylinder Sensor for Grippers CS-LG

Reliably Distinguishes 3 Positions Even Within a Gripper’s Short Stroke

The sensor continuously monitors piston movement inside the gripper with an impressive 0.01 mm resolution. Even within a short stroke, it reliably distinguishes between the three critical positions: Open, Gripped, and Closed. A single sensor allows the system to detect various gripping errors, including incorrect workpiece pickup.

Reduced Wiring

The CS-LG provides an output for each cylinder position with only one cable. Reducing cables required by at least half, and cutting down on the overall installation, set-up time, and parts required.

Top-Down Installation with Flush Mounting

Installing the CS-LG on the gripper is done from above. The small body of the sensor allows it to fit within the groove of the cylinder for a flush mount, even for tight spaces. The screw that locks the sensor into place uses a metal design; durable even when strongly tightened down.

Easy Set-Up with Amplifier

After installing, creating the output locations for the CS-LG is simple using the amplifier or the pneumatic software SP Navigator.

Increase Cylinder Speed Without Destructive Impact Smart Cushion Valve SP-C

Reduce Cycle Time with Pneumatics

Increase the speed at which the cylinder operates to shave off cycle time without concern of damage to the machine, cylinder or product. Adjustable thresholds for deceleration allows for complete control.

Long Term Durability

Common shock absorbers are easily damaged and broken over time with wear and tear. Utilising air cushioning, no parts or hardware are required to take the brunt of the force.

Impact Reduction by Switching Between High-Speed and Deceleration Flow Paths

Devices are built with two flow paths. Based on piston position data from the linear cylinder sensor, the valve switches from the high-speed flow path to the deceleration flow path. Even if cylinder speed is increased via a speed controller, the valve initiates deceleration just before the end of the stroke, ensuring stable impact reduction.

Simple 4-Step Set Up

Equipped with onboard configuration, set-up is easily done with a 4-step process on the display of the SP-C. No external licence or software is required.

Consolidation of Data from Connected Equipment through Linear Cylinder Sensor Integration

The SP-N/V Series allows Linear Cylinder Sensors to be connected directly to the sensor connection ports. This enables consolidation and communication of the status of valves connected to the network module as well as various parameters (including sensor ON/OFF, piston position, and impact level) via the manifold. When linked with a control panel or the Web server function, this enables visualisation of the operating status of the entire air pressure control system.

Reduce and Simplify Pneumatic Wiring

Wiring pneumatic cylinder sensors has never been simpler with the design of the SP-V valve. Each valve is equipped with a dedicated M8 QD connector to seamlessly integrate cylinder sensors that are installed on the machine. The dedicated connector removes the need for external IO blocks or additional wiring in the PLC. All outputs and data from the sensor will be taken back with the SP-N communication unit to decrease time on programming.

Large Indication of Cylinder and Valve Pairing

Immediately visualise the valve and cylinder pairing to reduce time required for troubleshooting and installation, indicated by large indicator lights on the cylinder sensor and valve.
